ThinApp Factory from GitHub, on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS problems

Hi,

I've installed an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server, added all dependencies from the README file that came with Thinapp Factory from GitHub.

After making some adjustments in both the setup.cfg and setup.sh file regarding passwords, I finally was able to build and deploy TAF successfully.

I can create a workpool, add CIFS-shares etc, no problem. However, when doing an autocapture of an easy application (like putty.exe), using a base installation of Windows-7 64-bit as the workpool image - I get problems.

The windows image starts to be reconfigured as you might expect, but fails to complete "Setup is preparing your computer for first use".

I read that this error could be the case if C:\temp doesn't exists on the vcenter server. However, I'm using the vcenter appliance which is not windows based.

Anyhow, the Windows machine reboots and tries to customize itself again, and again.. fails..

Versions:

Windows 7-64 bit

vSphere 5.5.0 Build 1331820

vCenter 5.5.0 Build 1398495

Thinapp 5.0.0 Build 1391583

When configuring the "runtime" of Thinapp on the Ubuntu server, I just copied all the files from a windows system c:\program files\vmware\thinapp that was running that version. However, according to the ThinApp Factory README file, I seem to lack several files.

Am I supposed to copy even more files to the runtime directory, and where do I find them?

Regards

Anders
