Hi there,
I've been trying to capture an application for sometime now and keep running into this same issue. I'm using ThinApp 5.0. The application installation involves several reboots and manually registering various dll files.
The application works fine on the reference machine where I capture the setup process. Once I take the captured application to another computer (same environment: Windows 7 (64-bit)), it launches through thinapp and shows the login prompt. As soon as I enter the login credentials, the following error pops up:
"C++ Runtime Library: the application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way"
During the capture process, I made sure to launch the application and log into it successfully before doing a post-scan. I've already compared that the test machine and the captured machine has the exact same C++ runtime installed. In fact, I tried running through the installation without c++ runtim installed on the capture machine and noticed it doesn't install any c++ runtime library and still works fine.
My only problem now is that even though the capturing of the application "seems" to be successful, I can't take that to another computer and run it successfully. Has anyone run into a similar issue or know where the problem might be? If you need more details or have additional questions, please let me know.
Thank you,
