ThinApp changing Hostname

Hey Guys,

My company is trying to see if ThinApp can resolve an issue it has currently and was hoping some could give advice.

There is an important program that we use that we are wanting to use on a Citrix Server, but there are two problems with such.

First: The program doesn't allow more than one instance to run on a single computer at the same time.

Second: When logging in it checks the hostname with the backend server and makes sure that there are no multiple instances.

So we were hoping we could ThinApp to solve this. I have been fiddling with ThinApp to try and understand it better but I can't seem to figure it out.

Is it possible to present a desired hostname to the application Sandbox so that when the program checks the hostname we can choose what each instance on the server recieves?

Also is it possible to isolate a part of the sandbox which checks for other instances so that it see's only itself? So that multiple instances can run at the same time.

Any Advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Notes:- There are no command line switches available for this (otherwise no need for Thinapp obviously )

Cannot use a different program for the job

Cheers,

Luke
