Hello fellow vmwarers (that a word?)
We have a nice VDI solution of VMWare and I'm trying to make thinapps but they all freeze upon startup.
The steps i take are:
- on a thinapp vm i prepared (clean install, updated with windows updates) i run the VMWare thinapp application.
- I run Prescan
- I install & configure the application
- I run postscan
- I let the application built the thinapp
- Copy the thinapp to network location
- Connect to a VDI desktop
- Browse to the network location of the thinapp and start it up
What happens next is really strange because it starts 3 instances of the thinapp (lets say Foxitreader.exe)
So in taskmanager i see
foxitreader.exe - normal amount of ram & cpu usage
foxitreader.exe - normal amount of ram & cpu usage
foxitreader.exe - higher amount of ram usage + 90% of cpu usage
But no foxitreader on screen.
Sometimes (not always) when i close 2 instances, the thinapp may suddenly start up.
Now foxitreader shouldnt be this resource heavy so I am really wondering what is causing this issue.
Is there a way to find out what is happening "behind the scenes"?
Hope you can help!
Tnx in advance
