Custom Installation Instructions | Requirements: Windows 7 x64 Desktop to capture ThinApp C++ Redistributable 2005 SP1 x64 C++ Redistributable 2005 SP1 x86 (Included with SAP Business One Client Installer) SAP Business One Client Installer Add-On Installers (Such as BEAS) Microsoft Office Installer (For Excel Exports)
This worked with our setup that included a Beas Add-on that required to be installed.
1. Boot a Windows 7 x64 Desktop and configure to capture with ThinApp a. Version I used was ThinApp 5.2 2. Install Microsoft Office. a. Only Excel is required so choose custom install. Word is optional. b. I used Office 2003 Professional as this is what was installed on the current application. 3. Once install is completed, being the SAP client installer. 4. Let the SAP client installer install C++ Redistributable 2005 SP1 x86 5. Before continuing the installer, download and install C++ Redistributable 2005 SP1 x64 6. Finish SAP Business One install. 7. Install add-ons that are used within your environment if they are additional packages. 8. Run through the add-on prompts and in the case of Beas, ignore the error referencing a wscript when you install the reader. a. Our Beas installer did not have all of the files we needed. I think copied OVER the install path for Beas with our current production folder. 9. Once installs are finished, run SAP Business One as administrator. 10. Log into SAP B1 and install the add-ons into the application as needed. 11. Once completed, exit the application. 12. Now right click on all executables that pertain to this install, go the compatibility tab, and make "run as administrator" for all users. a. The executables include: i. SAP Business One.exe ii. (in my case) beas.exe iii. Inside of the "Program Files (x86) > SAP > SAP Business One > AddOns" path, all add-on executables. 13. Once does launch the application again and confirm it still works. 14. Capture the install 15. Take default shortcuts 16. Send to a .dat and create an .msi if you'd like. 17. Edit the package.ini and activate the line: VirtualizeExternalOutofProcessCOM=0 (remove the ';' at the start of the sentence) 18. Finish building 19. Launch the bat/SAP Business One.exe and enjoy. |
