I am a contractor for a large federal bureau that is currently evaluating ThinApp. Some of our objectives include:
- Reduce application conflicts.
- Reduce effect of OS patches, Java updates, etc. on existing applications.
- Reduce vulnerability footprint by packaging dependencies (Java, Flash, etc) in with the ThinApp package, and therefore remove them from the host OS.
Is there anyone that would be willing to share their experience with ThinApp and any lessons learned regarding operational time saved/shifted? Any time saved NOT performing as much regression testing, break-fix, or OS upgrade? Any security benefits realized?
