Microsoft Project 2007 SP3 on Win7 x64

I'm starting to believe that doing anything ThinApp on a 64-bit system is a bad idea. Here is where I am at. I've taken the Microsoft media for Microsoft Office Project Standard 2007 and added the necessary files so that it has SP3. I can install this physically onto a Windows 7 64-bit system w/o any issues or errors.

If I do a setup capture with ThinApp 4.7.3 on Windows 7 64-bit, I normally end up with a virtual application that the first time I run it does nothing. Guessing it just crashes. The second time I launch it I get dialog that Project needs to start in safe mode at which point the application still does not launch.

At first I was capturing on a system that had Office 2007 ProPlus. Thinking this was the issue I rebuilt my capture system so that Office is not installed. Even then, same result.

I've attempted to troubleshoot using the ThinApp Log Monitor, but honestly the tool makes no sense to me. The "potiential error" section has over 100 lines stating that files do not exist yet if I add cmd.exe as an entry point and browse the virtual file system the files do in fact exist. I've tried all of the common package.ini tricks both together and seperate (compressiontype=none, wow64=0, loaddontnetfromsystem=win7) yet still no dice.

At this point I'm really hoping that someone else has been able to capture Project 2007 sucessfully on a Windows 7 64-bit system and can say, "Oh yeah. There is that one isolation setting on that one key that will do the trick." Otherwise physical install of Project 2007 it is.
