Hello everyone,
I have just begun my journey into ThinApp capturing and deployment, and I am running into an issue of sorts. I am working with an IM program called Lotus Notes Sametime, and have created a ThinApp package of it already. I have tested it and the application works successfully, but I am having a problem with it saving password information the next time the application is closed and opened again.
Sametime gives the option to Remember Password so that the user doesn't have to enter it in. Now what I have tested so far is that on the same computer that the Sametime ThinApp is reopened on, it saves the password information in the password field. But, if I were to open the Sametime ThinApp on another computer, it only saves the username and not the password.
Now, the way I have it set up is all user profile information that the ThinApp generates is stored in the users home network share, so wherever they go on our network the data follows them.
Basically what I am asking is, does ThinApp prevent the ability to store user passwords in the packaged application (security measure), or is there some sort of configuration change that I need to make in the ThinApp build process to allow passwords to be saved?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
